YOU are invited to join Hands & Voices New Mexico (HVNM) for a Fun February Family Event!
Get information about Hands & Voices New Mexico and the Guide By Your Side (GBYS) program. Learn about one woman's experience growing up deaf. Discover what local Las Cruces resources has to offer for the deaf and hard of hearing (D/HH) community; invited speakers include the Lions Club, New Mexico State University, Hearing Loss Association of America - Las Cruces. Meet, mingle and munch with other families with D/HH children, adults who are D/HH and professionals who support D/HH children.
Some questions have been raised about who is welcome at these events and who are we trying to serve: HVNM events are meant for ALL communication modes, for ALL ages 0 - 18, and for ALL educational choices. Deaf and hard of hearing adults and professional who work with D/HH children are welcome.
