Hello, my name is Andrea Shije!  I am the mother of two young men that are deaf.  We are from the Pueblo of Zia.  I have worked with children who are deaf or hard of hearing in the Albuquerque Public Schools for fourteen years.  I have also worked with Educating Parents of Indian Children with Special Needs (EPICS).  Both of my sons attended the New Mexico School for the Deaf (NMSD).
